Robert John Rea, Sr.; second son of Samuel James Rea and Elizabeth Topping Rea, Beloved husband of Doris Mae Elsdon Rea, devoted father of Sharon Lee Weimer, Robert John Rea Jr.,(Roslyn), Judith Ann Aspenson, Laurie Lynn Mitchell, (Doug), loving grandfather of Eric Weimer, Heidi Zanolli, Wendy Ort, Devon Hoy, Erin Rea, Robert Rea III, Heather, Nicole, Michael, Megan, Cara, Candice Aspenson (deceased) Colin Aspenson, Jason Aspenson, Bryan Aspenson, Aaron Aspenson, Brandon Mitchell, Jared Mitchell, Caitlyn Mitchell, and Cameron Mitchell, great-grandfather to Zachary Ort, Gavin Ort, Alyssa Ort, Evvie Hoy, Quinton Aspenson, Connor Aspenson, Cooper Aspenson, Bennett Aspenson, Brees Aspenson, Everett Aspenson, and friend to so many... fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was predeceased by his older brother Sam and his younger sister Margaret and was uncle to David and Debbie Rea Bray; Mark Peterman, Doug Peterman, Bill Peterman, Lee Peterman, and Wanda Peterman Lindsey.
Born in Doylestown, PA, February 21, 1927, Bob grew up in the area, was a WW II Veteran, a Drexel graduate, and a retiree of Merck. He loved the Lord, after having trusted Him as his personal Savior, and his life was a testimony to the One he loved.
Robert’s funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday October 2, 2017 at the Hatboro Gospel Hall, Moreland and York Rd., Hatboro, where the family will receive friends after 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
