Condolence: I had a short visit with Bill when I traveled to New Jersey to bury Sophie and Sam Scafidi's remains. He impressed me as a very good man. I wish I had known him better. Be in peace, Bill

I have never had another friend like Bill. He taught me what it was to be a friend. He was there for me in kindergarten when he showed up in a blue sweatshirt with two wrestlers on it and asked if I wanted to wrestle. We waited until recess, but then we were best friends and buddies through 8 years of grade school and 4 years at Msgr. Bonner HS. Bill was fun and strong and decent, always urging me to jump into whatever adventure came our way. I will miss him greatly.

Condolence: Bill was a shining light in so many people's lives, especially my Sister/Bill's wife Jean. When Bill passed he took a big part of hearts of all who knew & loved him. Bill was caring, generous, loving & had a unique sense of humor. But it was his grandchildren who brought him the most joy whom he adored. We will all miss him terribly. RIP Bill!
