Obituary for Charles W. Hoot

Charles W. Hoot, SFC, Ret’d, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 81.
Born in Dublin, PA, Charles was the youngest son of the late Warren Hoot and the late Alleyne Hoot Kramer.
Charles served with the US Army for over 20 years as a Military Police Officer and Detective serving in Korea, Viet Nam, Virginia, Germany and many other posts. He loved hunting, fishing, wood and leather working, SOS, his truck and a good cup of coffee. He was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help others. Following his retirement from the Army, Charles worked security at the Pocono Palace and then worked security for Bucks County Community College until his retirement.
Charles is survived by a son Wayne Hoot and a daughter Cathy Hoot, sister in law Betty Hoot, Nieces and nephews; Lori Cox, Kris and Brenda Hoot, James and Nancy Jacobs and Cindy and Russ Hogg. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Rose Ann Hoot, step father Ralph Kramer, sister and brother in law, Virginia and James Jacobs, brother Paul Hoot and a daughter Donna Lee Hoot.
Charles’ family will receive friends 9-11:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Shelly Funeral Home, Easton and Keller’s Church Roads, Plumsteadville. Interment will be held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery privately at a later date.
