Obituary for Susan Gavel

Susan  Gavel
Susan M. Gavel of Doylestown passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, after a life-long battle with depression. She was 55.

Sue was the daughter of Corriena and George Morrall, loving wife of Steven J. Gavel, and caring mother of Kelley R. Gavel. Born in Danville, PA, raised in Hatfield, PA, Sue graduated from North Penn Area High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Bloomsburg University.

Sue worked in Human Resources until the birth of her only child and continued as a homemaker and active community volunteer. Sue enjoyed an active lifestyle as a yoga instructor and avid power walker. She also enjoyed the game of golf with her girlfriends and husband.

In addition to her husband, daughter, and parents, Sue is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Deb and Ed Eisenhauer, Cindy and Mark Nichols, and Susan Gillespie. Sue is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to honor Sue will take place, Friday, August 31st, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m., until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.
