Condolence: I was so surprised to read of Ron’s passing. I immediately thought of all the good times & the laughs we shared at the neighbor get together in Hartsville Park. My deepest sympathies to you & your family. Fay & Bob
Condolence From: Hiram Torres - Next Door Neighbor
Condolence: To Ron's Family,
I have had the honor of being Ron and Eleanor's next door neighbor for over 28 years. I watched as their daughter walked down the driveway in her wedding gown and get into the limousine. I enjoyed watching their grandchildren running across our adjoining back yards wanting to play on the swing set I had erected for my children.
I have joyful memories of my conversations with "Captain Ron" each year after he and Eleanor returned home from Marathon, Florida. I will miss him.
To Eleanor and family: I am only across the yard. Please call upon me should there ever be anything that I can help with - no matter how large or small.
In the meantime, may the Lord grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding and bring remembrance to us of the promise from the Scriptures: "To be Absent from the Body is to be Present with the Lord" [2 Cor. 5:8]. So let's rest our hearts on this truth - for we will all soon be with our Lord and with Captain Ron on his "heavenly boat" in the seas of eternity.
God bless you all. His next door neighbors.
The Torres Family
Condolence: So sorry for your family's loss. Ron was such a great man. He was very kind, loving and super fun. I used to work with him back in the MBNA days and I remember him always cracking jokes and making us laugh. He will deeply be missed.
Condolence: Uncle Ronnie was the ultimate fun uncle! Not o nly did he let me do all the things my parents would not, he encouraged it. I never had a bad time with him. I always looked forward to seeing him on holidays and family events. Though its been quite awhile since I've seen him, I will miss him terribly. My deepest condolences to Cioci, Dawn, Ronnie and Patti and kids. There are simply no words that are adequate at times like these.
Condolence: Eleanor, we are so very sorry to learn of Ron's passing. We have fond memories of the times spent in KCB and sharing a lot of laughter with both of you. Praying for peace and comfort to you and your family. Love to you.
Condolence: Eleanor, Ron, Patti & Dawn. I am so very sorry for your loss. Ron was a great man. He loved you all so very much and was so proud of you and his grandchildren. When we would get together he spent much of the time telling us about you and sharing stories bout what everyone was doing. To say he was bigger than life is an understatement! He could turn anything into a party! And he cared, he would do what he could and help in any way. And always found a way to make you smile! He hired me at Spectra over 38 years ago and we went on to work together for 22 years (without killing each other - though there were close calls!). Safe to say he taught me a lot about the business and I am forever grateful. As I cry that he's gone I find myself smiling at so many memories of him and how he lived. And oh, how he did live everyday!
